■ The Buggy Crash 玩具车坠毁

我开始做这个镜头的时候,同时也用浴室的场景.在我所选的音乐里,带有很快的改变,渐变和抒情的一部分。
有些东西确切符合了我对方程式赛车/的想法.
首先我不得不做玩具车,然后做成动态的。玩具车几个晚上就做完了,之后我为玩具车作了特别的配置,因此我可以用车盘控制轮子,按照地块的外形做悬浮和轮子的旋转是玩具车的速度.我决定把这个场分3个部分做,我根据音乐的改变,做了基本的环境,动态的玩具车和相机. 环境的设置很简单,有置换的地面,一些植物,仙人掌和石头,这样就可以了. 随着快速的镜头和动作,所有的都会变得很模糊的. 场景是用天光和一个直射光。这个场景里很重要的部分就是尘土的实验.只用简粒子体系和烟火特效afterburn就可以.我单独渲了一些附加的层面,从而我可以正确的组成在一起(如阴影层面,车遮罩等等).为了使场景更真实,我加了相机摆动,快一些的部分做得更富有戏剧性,剩下的部分戏剧性就没那么明显.整个地面是用置换的,并用3D运动模糊渲的,但是用V-Vray渲也没有问题.

I started to work on this shot simultaneously with the bath scene. In the music I’ve chosen, was a part with fast changes, gradation and nice lyrics. Something that fitted exactly to my idea of dune buggy race/crash.

First I had to do the buggy and then the animatic. Buggy was done in couple of evenings, and later I made a special rig for buggy, so I was able to control the wheel with the driver steering, the suspension was working according to terrain profile and the wheels rotation to buggy speed. I decided to do the scene in three separate takes, so I made basic environments and animated the buggy and the cameras according to the music changes.
The environment setup was pretty easy, with ground displaced, and couple of plants, cactuses and stones, it was completely ok. With the very fast camera and shake I knew it will be all blurred anyway. Scene was lit with sky dome and one direct light. It was enough to make it look good for me, and render speed was pretty fast. Very important part in this scene was the dust trial. Simple particle system and afterburn works just fine. I’ve rendered it separately with few extra passes, which helped me to compose it correctly (like shadow pass, car mask etc).To make the scene more believable, I’ve added camera shake, more dramatic in faster takes and less visible in the rest. The whole ground was displaced and rendered also with 3D motion blur turned on, but really no problem for V-ray.
